African grandmothers

The Stephen Lewis Foundation launched the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign in 2006, in response to the emerging crisis faced by grandmothers in Africa as they struggled to raise millions of children orphaned by AIDS. Val supported this work both financially and with her activities with her local Grannies group. You can help continue that important work by contributing in Val's name to the Foundation. Soon, we'll be making an announcement about a special Grannies project in Val's honour supporting this ongoing work.
